Course Description
This course reviews key concepts related to human trafficking for healthcare providers. Through an analysis of cases, specific attention to risk factors, presentation, identification, management, support, and follow through will be discussed. The student will identify victim support resources in their own community and state.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, healthcare providers will be able to:
- Identify the 3 main types and key characteristics of human trafficking
- Describe the tenets of trauma-informed healthcare within the context of human trafficking
- Dispel common myths related to human trafficking
- Demonstrate competence in recognizing risk factors for potential victims of human trafficking
- Describe mandated reporter obligations and resources for reporting suspected human trafficking
- Identify resources local to your community to support victims of human trafficking
