Course Description
Sexual harassment is unlawful under federal law and under some state laws. This course will teach the learner behaviors to prevent sexual harassment, how to respond to sexual harassment, and what constitutes sexual harassment. A focus on workers in the healthcare arena makes the content relevant to the intended audience.
Intended Audience
All healthcare workers, and those who work in healthcare institutions
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, healthcare professionals will be able to:
- Explain sexual harassment and its consequences to the harassed individual
- Identify examples of sexual harassment
- Follow state and federal law regarding sexual harassment
- Describe employer responsibility for the prevention, investigation, and corrective action regarding sexual harassment
At the completion of this activity, assistants, aids, support staff, and pharmacy technicians will be able to:
- Define sexual harassment, sexual coercion, and unwanted sexual attention
