Requirements specific to Licensed Practical Nurses in Connecticut
Connecticut LPNs are required to complete
- 2 hours: Screening Suicide
- 2 hours: Suicide Prevention

This course teaches the basics of pressure ulcer or pressure injury (PI) prevention, staging, and diagnosis. The epidemiology, pathophysiology, staging, risk assessment and preventive strategies from a holistic perspective will be discussed. This course reviews key concepts related to the tick lifespan, various types of ticks, and their disease transmission. The location for certain ticks in the United States will be reviewed. Specific tickborne diseases, their transmission, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment will be discussed in detail. The student will learn key concepts in tickborne disease prevention.

Human Trafficking for Healthcare Providers, An Analysis of Cases
This course reviews key concepts related to human trafficking for healthcare providers. Through an analysis of cases, specific attention to risk factors, presentation, identification, management, support, and follow through will be discussed. The student will identify victim support resources in their own community and state.
